A HEAVILY-pregnant Solihull woman who went missing almost two weeks ago was found yesterday going into labour on a roadside in Blackpool.
Last week police issued an appeal to trace 40-year-old Louise Byng – last seen on September 15 in Leamington Spa – as fears grew for the health of both her and her unborn child.
However, Louise, from Dorridge, was found in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday September 26) on the street by a member of the public and taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where she later gave birth to a baby boy.
Solihull Police Detective Sergeant Neil Wood, said: “She had no connections with the Blackpool area so it’s unclear why she travelled so far away from home at this late stage in her pregnancy.
“Everyone is just relieved that she’s safe and well; Louise and her son will be staying with her parents for the foreseeable future.”
