Model volunteers in windfall for charity

VOLUNTEERS from Breast Cancer Campaign (BCC) overcame their nerves as they strutted their stuff on the catwalk to raise over £600.

VOLUNTEERS from Breast Cancer Campaign (BCC) overcame their nerves as they strutted their stuff on the catwalk to raise over £600.

The would-be models held a fashion show at Ransons Family Garden Centre which is situated in Hatton Shopping Village, on Saturday.

Dubbed The Blooming Clothes Show, the models drew applause as they showed off outfits they had chosen from The Outlet, Ransons fashion department.

Many of the models and those organising the fashion show had been touched by breast cancer and wanted to help others.

“It was a super day,” said garden centre owner, Julian Ranson. “We were so grateful to the Breast Cancer Campaign volunteers, they put on a very professional show and chose some super outfits which they modelled so professionally.”

“We were so pleased to have raised over £600,” said local fund raiser, Carole Withers, “we do hope that if we stage another Blooming Clothes Show that even more people will support such a worthy cause.”
