A MOTORCYCLIST has received treatment for multiple fractures after he was hit by two cars in Shirley last week.
Emergency services were called out to the crash at the junction of Haslucks Green Road and Stratford Road shortly after 6.05am on Thursday (March 15).
Paramedics treated the biker at the scene before he was rushed to hospital.
The road was closed for a considerable time while officers investigated the cause of the collision.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: On arrival at the scene crews found a motorcycle and a car that had been in collision.
The motorcyclist, a man believed to be in his 40s, was treated on scene for multiple fractures to his legs and arm. The man was fully immobilised and given pain relief at the scene before being conveyed, under police escort, to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further assessment and specialist treatment.
The hospital was pre-alerted to the arrival of the man and of his injuries.
Officers arrested a 20-year-old Dudley man on suspicion of dangerous driving. He has now been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
