Motorists urged to be aware of thieves on frosty mornings

POLICE are warning drivers not to become victims of opportunist thieves, by leaving their defrosting cars unattended.

POLICE are warning drivers not to become victims of opportunist thieves, by leaving their defrosting cars unattended.

Last winter, six cars were stolen in Solihull after owners left them unsecure while the vehicles warmed up.

Now local officers are issuing their ‘frosty morning warning’ to car owners.

PC Chris Burt said: “All the security features on your car won’t help if you leave your car running to warm up with the key in the ignition.”
