MS Society pays tribute to Solihull helpers

OVER 100 members of the Solihull branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society enjoyed an excellent three-course Christmas lunch at the Holiday Inn.

OVER 100 members of the Solihull branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society enjoyed an excellent three-course Christmas lunch at the Holiday Inn.

In attendance at the event were the Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Ken Hawkins, his wife Janet and Councillor Irene Chamberlain.

The chairman Celia Richards, paid tribute to the drivers from Meriden Rotary Club for their support over the years and also Bob Bate, John Wilson and the collections team for raising over £5,500 this year.

The society now has new volunteers who will help with risk analysis, therapy support, social administration and press and publicity while the society’s long-awaited activity room, a collaborative project with the Green Acres Day Centre, is now operational.
