I WONDER if readers can help resolve a minor but none-the-less intriguing mystery?
I am a committee member of Solihull Pensioners Convention and in May last year we organised a members lunch at The Olton Tavern. I was fortunate to find myself seated opposite an erudite and attractive lady.
The time allocated for dining passed very rapidly, but during the course of conversation. I learnt that she was widowed and that her husband had suffered a long and debilitating illness, but I cannot recall her name. We parted with the rejoinder that we would meet again at the next pensioners meeting.
Since then nothing has been seen or heard of the lady. Perhaps if she reads this letter, she will call or come along to the next pensioners meeting to be held on February 24 at Solihull Methodist Church at 11am.
