AN award-winning NEC chef is now sharing his culinary secrets with a wider audience.
Executive head chef at The NEC Group, Paul Gould has written his first cook book – The Hidden Kitchen - celebrating years of delivering quality food at a host of high profile and celebrity events.
From Gordon Brown to Bill Clinton and every member of the Royal family, Paul’s culinary skills have been tasted and enjoyed by the many well-known visitors who have performed at and visited The NEC, LG Arena, The NIA and The ICC.
The NEC Group’s catering operation is one of the largest of any conference and exhibition sites in the UK and the cookbook contains a selection of recipes that have been prepared at events, concerts and banquets across the group of venues.
Paul said: “This book is a celebration of my passion for cooking. I have put together a selection of some of my favourite, and our most popular recent dishes, designed for people who share my enthusiasm for cooking but don’t want to spend hours slaving over the proverbial hot stove.. ”
With over four million visitors each year, Paul is responsible for the dishes offered at 42 restaurants operated by over 50 permanent chefs.
Sally Davis, managing director of The NEC Group catering team said: “The Hidden Kitchen is a culmination of 30 years of skill and innovation and showcases the team’s award-winning work beautifully.”
