A new adventure park will open to the public this weekend in woodland near Hockley Heath.
Umberslade Adventure is the brainchild of Sebastian Muntz, whose father Robert owns the 80-acre Chalcot Wood, in Cut Throat Lane.
The 25-year-old, from nearby Tanworth-in-Arden, has spent the last 18 months getting his idea off the ground and the attraction will launch tomorrow (Saturday).
Robert’s girlfriend Emma Gardiner said: “There is the Delta Force paintballing business nearby and that attracts thousands of people. Sebastian had the great idea of setting up something which would get families outdoors. It’s been done so it looks very natural - it’s a beautiful piece of woodland.”
Among the attractions at Umberslade are a commando course, nature trails and a 240ft zip wire.
The launch day will be raising money for Cancer Research UK, Sebastian lost his mum to the illness last year and Emma works for the charity.
There will be a tombola, cake sale, welly wanging and races between 10am and 4pm.
