A RANGE of employment law courses are to be launched through a new partnership between Solihull College Employer Services and Conker Training Ltd.
From areas such as the Equality Act to issues that deal with holidays and contracts of employment, this course is intended for delegates who want to understand the essentials of employment law whether they are a business owner, a manager or work in an HR department and need up to date refresher training.
Shaun Hindle, director of employment services at Solihull College said: “This is a partnership which will benefit many employers across Solihull and Birmingham. Being able to practise employment law is essential for all businesses and these courses will provide a sound basis to do that.”
The training course has been developed and will be delivered by two experts in this field; Helen Hughes and David Gamble. Helen is a qualified employment lawyer with over 13 years’ experience and was previously a Partner in one of the largest Midlands based law firms.
David has 25 years’ experience in senior HR.
The joint experience and knowledge of these two experts in their fields means that their training solutions are a unique blend of the compliance, legal and practitioner needs’ facing any business.
The one day course will cover issues such as recruitment, discipline and grievance, post-employment, absence management, working parents and the context of employment law.
A special delegate rate of £150 + VAT is being offered for the first course, ‘An Introduction to Employment Law’, which is being run at the Blossomfield Campus on April 16.
