A NEW acoustic festival has been launched at Tanworth-in-Arden - the spiritual home of singer songwriter Nick Drake in.
Lunar Festival, which runs from June 1 to 4, promises a top line up of folk, indie and acoustic artists including Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Fionn Regan, The Dirty Old Folkers and Scott Matthews.
It will also feature local talent with the likes of Boat To Row, The Old Dance School, Goodnight Lenin, Young Runaways, Friends Of The Stars and more.
Matt Pinfield, from Young Runaways, added: “It’s cool to be involved with a brand new event like this. We’ve been a bit quieter than usual as far as gigs this year because we’ve been living in the studio so it’ll be good to get back on it.”
Lunar Festival, based at the Umberslade Estate in Tanworth-in-Arden, has been organised by the same production team behind Moseley Folk Festival and the Mostly Jazz, Funk and Soul Festival.
It is a camping event, though day tickets are available, which will see four days of music, workshops and lots of activities in this small but perfectly formed festival.
