Yvette Elcock is only half the woman she once was and yet she is the happiest she has been for a very long time.

After losing more than 14st in less than a year she is closing in on her target of 12st and is delighted to be a shadow of her former self.

Yvette, a leadership training and development consultant and coach, once tipped the scales at 26st 9lbs and was forced to wear size 32 dresses. Then, she discovered a revolutionary new weight loss programme that tackled the reasons she ate so much rather than just the food she devoured.

She is now a trim 12st 8lbs and puts her remarkably successful achievement down to LighterLife which has given her a new outlook on her life and has empowered her to stick to the strict regime that has seen her lose 14st 1lb.

“The programme addresses weight issues and obesity from a very different perspective than any other that I have come across,” said Yvette, who admits to having been a serial dieter since the age of 15 and had never enjoyed the amazing success she has had since joining the group run by Helen Litherland, a LighterLife counsellor in Solihull.

Having tried many different dieting techniques Yvette was at her wits’ end when she discovered this new dieting approach which focuses less on the quantity of food she was eating and more on why she was eating it.

“I had tried everything. I could tell you the calories in everything I have ever eaten in my life and I knew they were the wrong sort even as I ate them. LighterLife takes you away from the source of that addiction but still keeps you healthy.”

Yvette joined the programme last September and lost a 13lbs within the first four days. It inspired her to continue. Now as she approaches her original target of 12st her zest for life has been reinvigorated.

“My physical change has been unbelievable. I still pinch myself,” she added.
