Newsagent raiders had knives

SOLIHULL Police are appealing for help from the public after robbers armed with knives stole cash and cigarettes from a Shirley newsagents last Friday morning.

SOLIHULL Police are appealing for help from the public after robbers armed with knives stole cash and cigarettes from a Shirley newsagents last Friday morning.

Three masked men entered Mills News in Cranmore Boulevard at approximately 6.30am on January 16 and approached three members of staff in the shop before tying them up in a back room and escaping with the goods and money.

The offenders are described as white.

They fled the scene in a dark green BMW convertible, registration number S175 PGF, which was reported stolen from the Solihull area earlier this month.

None of the staff from the store were injured in the incident.
