Now hear this

DOES anyone in the Stanway Road and Cropthorne Road regions of Shirley or anywhere else hear what has been described as the ‘Bristol Hum’, a low pitched persistent drumming sound which does not vary, rather like a diesel engine?

This can be heard mainly at night and only inside your home or a building. This sound can not be heard by everyone, mainly women are the sufferers. I wondered for a long time if this was a problem with my ears but my hearing is perfect.

Since then the Daily Mail brought the problem to the public’s attention. I then looked up the Hum on the net and found this sound is widespread. There have been complaints from Stanway and Cropthorne Roads to the Environmental Department at Solihull and they are looking into it right now.

If anyone has any ideas could you contact the Solihull News or contact myself through them.
