Police had arrived outside the Assembly Rooms in Poplar Road, Solihull in the early hours of Saturday February 18 following a disturbance, Solihull Magistrates heard.
PC Katy Trodden said she had attempted to take the details of Kelly Bell, from Wells Green Road, but was unable to due to Bells drunken state.
She was getting very aggressive- shouting, swearing, said the officer. She was stumbling.
The court heard Bell was taken to the back of a nearby police car to calm down but she began kicking the door and hitting the window.
When fellow officer PC Craig Bull attempted to restrain her, Bell kicked him in the stomach, said PC Trodden.
As PC Trodden then attempted to restrain Bell, she felt spit hit her face.
Bell was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and for two counts of assaulting a police officer.
The 23-year-old admitted ranting and raving but denied being drunk or assaulting either officer, claiming she had been hysterical after being mistreated by the officers and any kick or spit had been accidental.
Bell was convicted of being drunk and disorderly and of assault but magistrates cleared her of spitting.
The case was adjourned until Wednesday (April 9) for pre-sentence reports.
