AS December 25 draws closer, the festivities show no sign of slowing down in Mell Square.

Tomorrow, Saturday, shoppers will be able to embrace all the fun of the festive season with a Mell Square Yuletide Fancy Dress Competition for youngsters featuring Winnie the Pooh and Dora the Explorer as judges at 1.30pm.

Every child attending the dressing-up extravaganza will also be able to make their own badge or key-ring in the craft workshop.

Whilst the youngsters are busy, older shoppers will be able to amble around the Christmas Fayre with its variety of unique gifts. Meanwhile City of Coventry Brass will be playing from 12.30pm until 2.30pm.

They’ll be followed on Monday evening, December 12, by Solihull’s RSPCA choir from 5pm until 7.30pm.

Finally singers from Animal Aid will be on song on Thursday, December 16 at 6pm for all to enjoy.
