Out of pocket spa customers attack lack of apology

ANGRY residents are still calling in to complain after being left out of pocket by the sudden closure of Solihull’s Indigo Spa.

ANGRY residents are still calling in to complain after being left out of pocket by the sudden closure of Solihull’s Indigo Spa.

Loyal customers of the salon, in Mell Square, lost money totalling thousands after it closed without warning last month.

Natalie Chidler, from Sheldon, who recently received a £50 voucher for her 30th birthday, said: “They know people can’t afford to pay a liquidator to get their money back. It’s rubbing salt in the wound.

“It’s disgusting to be honest, and shows the owners don’t care about their customers. It’s callous.

“They’ll get themselves back on their feet and forget about everyone else, it’s just greedy.”

Kelly Maskell, aged 36, from Shirley, had been given a £50 voucher last Christmas.

“I’m really annoyed. £50 is a hell of a lot of money to have to spend yourself in this day and age.

“It was a present from my in-laws, money which they might as well have flushed down the toilet.

“The owners would have known full well they couldn’t provide the service when they were selling the vouchers at Christmas.”

Diane Norris, from Dorridge, a loyal Indigo customer for years had spent over £300 on vouchers when the business closed its doors.

“I’m very disappointed, she said.

“I’m astounded they’ve told customers to pay for their own liquidator, as if we haven’t lost enough already.

“You would have thought with so many ladies affected, they would have done something.”

l A spokesperson for Trading Standards advised anyone owed money to write to Shabir Nawab & Co, 11 Portland Road, Edgbaston, B16 9HN
