CYCLING-mad Solihull resident Stuart Hateley is preparing to ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats next month to raise money for charity.
Stuart, a managing director at Birmingham-based Grayson Thermal Systems, will be joined by his brother, James for the gruelling 950-mile attempt which will take two weeks.
The pair are hoping to raise over £8,000 for Cure Parkinson’s Trust and Cure Leukaemia.
“We wanted to put ourselves to the test and help some people who really need it. Both causes mean a lot to us: our mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s four years ago, and we are lifelong supporters of Aston Villa FC, whose club captain Stiliyan ‘Stan’ Petrov has been diagnosed with acute Leukaemia.”
