ENJOY a day of bargains and pampering on Saturday April 4 when two charity events take place in aid of Acorns Childrens Hospice.
Deb’s Clothing Swap, organised by local mum and fund raiser Deborah Howe, will see new and barely used baby and toddler items available to swap as well as a host of complementary beauty and fun events for all the family to enjoy.
The first swap is at Busy Bees Nursery, Blythe Valley park at 10.30am with the second at Gloria Jean’s Coffees in Mill Lane, Solihull from 4pm.
Toys and clothes will be displayed at both and guests are then free to indulge in a spot of pampering including mini facials, makeovers and gym passes from Virgin Active in the morning and treats such as children’s party hair from Snip Snap during the afternoon.
There will also be raffles for children’s luxury prizes together with prizes donated by local stores with all proceeds going to Acorns.
Deborah said: “I wanted to give mums and dads a chance to recycle their children’s clothes and toys, have some fun while doing so and also help support Acorns Children’s Hospice, a very worthy charity struggling during the recession.”
Sanjay Jagatia from Acorns Children’s Hospice Birmingham & Warwickshire said: “We are delighted that Deborah is holding this fantastic event to help support Acorns and the Acorns Fragile Lives Appeal.
“We need to survive this recession and continue supporting not only the 600 life limited children and their families already in our care but to try and reach the 1,000 more who so desperately need our help.”
Following the events, all unswapped clothing/toys and proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Acorns Children’s Hospice.
