Park Hall Academy in Castle Bromwich has been named one of the top 100 improving schools in the country.
Last week, the school received a letter of congratulations from Education Minister David Laws.
Last year, every Park Hall pupil achieved 5 A*-C grades in their GCSEs while half gained the ’gold standard,’ 5 A*-Cs including English and maths.
The school, one of the largest in Solihull, had only emerged from a three year spell in special measures in 2008.
Park Hall’s principal, Tony Morrison, said: “We are very fortunate to have excellent staff at Park Hall Academy.
“Their work throughout the year in providing numerous high quality learning opportunities for students is reflected in these superb examination results.”
