PC stolen from Robin Hood, Shirley

A COMPUTER containing electronic copies of the Books of Remembrance at Robin Hood Crematorium, Shirley, was stolen over the Easter weekend.

A COMPUTER containing electronic copies of the Books of Remembrance at Robin Hood Crematorium, Shirley, was stolen over the Easter weekend.

The new and improved electronic facility, which has a touchscreen function and had only been installed four weeks ago, allows the bereaved to view any scribed entry on any day of the year.

Solihull Council is looking to replace the computer system as soon as possible and assured relatives that none of the information contained on the computer has been lost and that any disruption to the service had been kept to a minimum.

A spokesman said: “The council would like to offer the bereaved their sincerest apologies for any inconvenience the theft of this equipment may cause.”
