SWAPPING oven gloves for hiking boots is Elliot Robinson who is set to take on the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales to raise money for charity.
The 33-year-old has operated the Solihull franchise of oven valeting specialist, Ovenu, since 2007 and has cleaned over 1,000 ovens.
This weekend Elliot and friend Scott will attempt to scale Snowdon (1085m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Ben Nevis (1344m) in 24 hours.
The pair are hoping to raise £500 for the Alzheimer’s Society and Elliot is donating £1 from every oven cleaned to the fund.
The Olton resident said: “Climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales all in 24 hours is a real challenge but raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society will make all the pain and exhaustion worth it.
“I have been working with a private trainer once a week to build up my fitness and cleaning as many ovens as I can to raise funds.”
