A PAEDOPHILE, from Solihull, has admitted secretly filming his own sister in the shower.
Over 4,100 indecent images of children were found on the 23-year-old’s computer when police raided his home last February, after being alerted by Interpol.
Officers also discovered 50 videos and photographs of the defendant’s sister, who was over 18 at the time, taken using a hidden camera on the bathroom door, Solihull Magistrates Court heard.
Malcolm Stoddart, prosecuting, said the offences had come to light after the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) uncovered a server distributing indecent images of children in Luxembourg.
“One of the people traced from that, downloading the images, was the defendant,” he said.
“Police visited the address in February this year where he lived with his mum and sister. The defendant had a custom-built computer in his room and police say they discovered 4,176 level one images downloaded after December 2011.
“Police also found 50 images and videos of the defendant’s sister using the shower.
“He had put in a recording device on top of the bathroom door, pointing toward the mirror to capture images of his naked sister.”
Ishfaq Qadir, defending, said his client had himself been a victim of sexual abuse when he was younger after he was ‘groomed’ by his father.
Mr Qadir added that the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had made ‘full and frank admissions’.
A woman, believed to have been the defendant’s mother, broke down in tears during the hearing and had to leave the courtroom.
The man was conditionally bailed to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on November 8, for sentencing.
