FAMILIES are set to have a fun-filled pirate adventure if they come along to Birmingham’s National Sea Life centre on July 25, when Heart Research UK in the Midlands launches its Treasure Chest Appeal.

This hearty day out will be packed with activities for all the family to enjoy, including a competition for the best dressed pirate, a family treasure hunt, street entertainers, goodie bags and the opportunity to win a family VIP trip at the Sea Life centre with the chance to feed their giant green sea turtles. The event kicks off at 9am.

The pirate adventure will continue over the summer, with more fun days and competitions planned to promote the Treasure Chest Appeal across the Midlands.

Heart Research UK is asking families to donate to the appeal by handing in any old, broken or unwanted jewellery, to raise money to fund pioneering research into heart disease.
