SAINSBURY’S held a workshop at Forest Court, Dorridge on Monday (May 9) to discuss further proposals for a new supermarket on the site.
Several community groups attended including Age UK Solihull, DIAL Solihull, Friends of Dorridge Park, Guide Dogs for the Blind as well as DROVS (Dorridge Residents Opposed to Village Superstore) - the local group supporting a smaller development for the site.
Michael Adenmosun, Sainsbury’s Regional Development Executive said: “I understand from our consultants who ran the user group that it was very useful and productive, with each representative able to feed in the needs of their organisation to the discussion.
The comments and feedback are now being reviewed by the team as we work towards submitting a planning application.”
A DROVS spokesperson said: “These public spaces are of vital importance, whichever scheme is eventually chosen.”
