SHIRLEY Town Centre Partnership is looking for 12 local companies to sponsor one of their brand new Christmas lights in Shirley.
It will be the first time in many years that Shirley will see some new Christmas lights in the town centre.
Fund raising has been ongoing for some time to ensure the lights go up, get repaired and come down again.
However this year some new modern lights will be introduced and the partnership wants businesses to come forward to put their name to one of them.
The cost of sponsorship is £200 and sponsors will receive a sign on the lamppost of their light for a year and also on a banner in the town centre as well as feature in future issues of the local magazine Shop in Shirley and attending the opening ceremony.
Local residents can also make their own contribution towards the lights by sending a cheque made payable to Shirley Town Centre Partnership, Council House, Manor Square Solihull, B91 3QB and putting ‘Christmas Lights’ on the back of the cheque.
People can even pop into the Shirley Branch of Barclays on Stratford Road or donate online with sort code: 207762, Account Number:10654043.
