Poems pour in for event

ENTRIES to the Great British Summer poetry competition, in association with Touchwood, have been pouring in this week from our lyrical readers.

ENTRIES to the Great British Summer poetry competition, in association with Touchwood, have been pouring in this week from our lyrical readers.

And two of the latest - from the week's top poets in the u16 and over 16 categories - can be read on the Solihull News website, www.icsolihull.co.uk.

If you think you are a budding poet then it's not too too late to send in your entry.

They should be in one of two categories - children (u16s) or adults (over 16s) - and winners in each category will scoop £250 worth of Touchwood vouchers to spend in its wide range of shops and restaurants.

The best submissions from each week will be published in the Solihull News or on its website.

All entries must be received by September 5 and the winners will be announced shortly after.

To enter, email your poem to gemma.smith@ europe.mccann.com with poetry competition marked in the subject header. Poems cam also be posted to Touchwood Poetry Competition, McCann Erickson PR, Communications House, Highlands Road, Shirley, West Midlands, B90 4WE.

They should be clearly labelled with your name, age, address, contact telephone number and email address.
