POLICE are appealing for witnesses to three attempted robberies carried out by the same offenders in the Solihull area.
The first happened at 3.25am, near to the traffic island at Streetsbrook Road and Lode Lane, Solihull town centre, on Saturday, February 7.
The victim was punched to the head and they tried to steal his mobile phone. He suffered black eyes and a swollen face following the attack.
The offenders were in an N-registration white Vauxhall Corsa, which police said had a distinctive style.
A short while later another victim was attacked on Wharf Lane.
On this occasion one of the offenders was seen to be wearing a pink cowgirl hat, which might have belonged to a woman seen inside the Vauxhall Corsa.
Pink cowgirl hats are normally handed out in Reflex nightclub in Solihull town centre.
Following this incident, the same offenders then attempted to rob another victim on Coventry Road, near to the BP Whirlwind Sheldon.
The offenders threatened to stab the victim if he didn’t hand over his mobile phone, but the man managed to escape unharmed.
The offenders were described by police as a white male, aged 19-20 years, of stocky build, with brown spikey hair, and a mixed-race male, aged 19-20, of slim build. with dark shaven hair.
Police said the distinctive-style Corsa they were in was a mark two old-shape model, three-door hatchback, white in colour, with five spoke 15in or 16in alloys, black bumpers, and possibly blacked-out or tinted rear windows.
