FUND raisers from Solihull Police raised around £2,500 for charity after tackling one of the world’s most gruelling triathlons.

The intrepid trio - Stuart Baker, Carole Vickers and Mike Hayward - completed the Snowdonia Charity Challenge last weekend, an event which saw the team undertake a 40-mile cycle around the national park, walk up Snowdon’s 3,560ft summit, and then canoe one mile across lake Llyn Gwynant.

Stuart said: “We had an excellent day and are really proud of what we’ve achieved for a good cause.”

The funds raised will go to REGAIN which supports men and women who become tetraplegic as the result of a sporting accident.

Local UPVC conservatory manufacturer Sky View donated £2,000 and provided shirts for the team.
