PLANS have been unveiled for a retirement development on the site of the Chester Arms pub, Castle Bromwich.

The proposals are being put forward by builder McCarthy & Stone, who recently acquired an interest in the land.

A public exhibition will be held on Thursday (January 12), at Arden Hall, in Water Orton Road.

Locals can go along to ask questions and view the proposals between 3.30pm and 7.30pm

Responses from residents will help shape the final plans that are submitted to Solihull Council.

McCarthy and Stone claim that the scheme would benefit the local economy, with residents using local shops and services.

If you are unable to get to the exhibition, the plans will be available to view at www.consultation-online.co.uk/castlebromwich
