A SMARTLY dressed thief who stole wallets and purses from visitors to a Solihull hotel is being sought by police.
The man stole a wallet from the coat of a 64 -year -old man who was at the Crown Plaza Hotel, NEC at around 1pm on October 22 last year.
The sneaky thief then used the victim’s credit card to withdraw cash .
The same man was seen returning to the hotel at 12.30pm on December 14 where he stole two more purses containing credit cards.
He was spotted on CCTV leaving in a ‘new shape’ Vauxhall Astra.
PC William Woodward from the Marston Green and NEC policing team said: “It appears that this man commits his offences by walking into hotels during the lunch break of conferences in smart dress and steals from unattended jackets and bags.
“Most of the locations where the cards were used were in the Coventry area, so he may be living or working there.’
