Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal awarded to air cadet volunteers

TWO Air Cadet adult volunteers, serving with the Chelmsley Wood-based 2504 Squadron, have been awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.

TWO Air Cadet adult volunteers, serving with the Chelmsley Wood-based 2504 Squadron, have been awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Flight Lieutenant Mohammed Aftab and Warrant Officer Ken Straun of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserves, were presented with their medals during a special ceremony at 2504 Archbishop Grimshaw School Squadron headquarters in Chelmsley Wood.

“We are both delighted and honoured to have been awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal,” said Flt Lt Aftab.
