THEY say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and to mark Farmhouse Breakfast Week, Beckett’s Farm Restaurant in Wythall is offering the famous Belly Buster Challenge with the aim of raising cash for charity in the process.

The whopper includes bacon, six sausages, four eggs, beans, toast, mushrooms, sauteed potatoes, fried bread and hash browns – with just 20 minutes to gobble the lot.

Successful challengers will be entered into a draw to win a free family breakfast and an ‘I beat the belly buster’ t-shirt and for every adult breakfast purchased during the week, £1 will be donated to Breast Friends cancer support charity.

The challenge has been bought back as part of the national Farmhouse Breakfast Week, now in its 11th year, which runs from January 24 to January 30 and aims to promote the benefits of eating breakfast.

Restaurant manager Jim Thompson said: “Beckett’s are famous for their breakfasts throughout the West Midlands and we are bringing back the Belly Buster for our customers with the healthiest of appetites and who are up for a challenge!”
