TWO young local artists have been discovered following a Christmas card design competition at the Plough Beefeater in Solihull.
Rebecca Bailey, eight and Charlotte Seston, 10 both from Sharmans Cross Junior School, were crowned winner and finalist respectively for their festive card creations. Rebecca’s star design won a Christmas Party at The Plough for her and classmates and the honour of seeing her design on a Christmas card for The Plough next year.
Rob Boulton, general manager at The Plough Beefeater said: “The winning design really stood out because Rebecca had used lovely bright colours that were very eye-catching and made it very festive with snow and a beautiful rainbow in the background.
“The Christmas party for Rebecca and her classmate was a great success. It was a lovely opportunity for them to celebrate Christmas together – we organised food and party games for 30 children.”
Around 200 budding young artists entered the competition and all entries have been displayed around the entrance of the The Plough Beefeater to showcase Solihull’s local artist talent.
