Reindeer help to launch barn

THE Christmas barn at Beckett’s Farm in Wythall has officially opened as Snowy and Blitzen the reindeer, arrived to join miniature donkeys and mini cows and a couple of lucky turkeys.

THE Christmas barn at Beckett’s Farm in Wythall has officially opened as Snowy and Blitzen the reindeer, arrived to join miniature donkeys and mini cows and a couple of lucky turkeys.

The barn will be open every day until December 23 and entry is free.

Guarded by four giant snowmen, Beckett’s have created some Christmas excitement for children but with a twist. Father Christmas won’t be there this year as he is too busy packing up his sleigh, but he has asked Beckett’s Farm to look after his animals for him whilst he gets ready for Christmas Eve.

Children can write to Santa and place their letter in the Christmas Barn post box and they are also being asked to think of a name for the baby donkey that is only 12 weeks old.

Beckett’s have teamed up with Woods Farm and Pinks the florist and are selling potted Christmas trees, Holly wreaths and mistletoe so whilst the kids say hi to the animals, you can pick your favourite tree.
