‘INCONSIDERATE’ drivers are continuing to make life a misery for residents living near Solihull’s Land Rover site.
Those living in suburbs near the Lode Lane plant claim Land Rover employees are using their streets to park up during their shifts.
Last month, the car giant’s bosses admitted it was a problem and told the Solihull News they had stepped up patrols in the area.
But those living in streets including Berkswell Close and Dovehouse Lane say employees are still using the local roads as ‘car parks.’
A Berkswell Road resident said this week: “Most of the cars parked are repeat offenders and are seen parked in the road regularly. The drivers have been seen walking from or to the Land Rover site. Some of those seen here have Land Rover parking permits, so they already have permission to park on the site.
“Furthermore in an emergency what would be the ultimate outcome if a fire appliance is not able to reach one of the 40 plus properties in the road?”
A spokesman for Land Rover said last month: “It is a problem we are aware of and we are carrying out regular patrols of residential areas.”
