THE white stuff is still affecting services in the borough with news from Solihull Council that waste and recycling collections will continue to operate on a restricted service next week .

For domestic waste, the council will collect black wheelie bins and up to two full bags of additional side waste if residents’ collections were missed in the week commencing Monday January 11.

Black recycling boxes – glass and cans – and plastic will also be collected where it is safe to do so, as well as any excess glass, cans or plastic that does not fit into the box.

Recycling facilities are also available at 30 mini recycling centres in Solihull or visit Bickenhill Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Glass collection will resume on Friday 22 January depending on the weather.
