FORMER Solihull School pupils are being invited to attend an anniversary reunion next June.

Julia Skan and Karen Brown (née Cupit) attended the independent school in the mid-1980s and are organising the event to help celebrate its 40th year of co-education.

They are being supported by the Old Silhillians’ Association (OSA) which has set itself the task of inviting back as many former girls as possible.

Around 1,350 girls have studied at Solihull School since the first ten young ladies arrived in 1973, 800 have posted their current addresses with the OSA.

Julia said: “Forty years of girls at Solihull School is a milestone that deserves to be celebrated. The event will be a great opportunity to visit the school, meet the headmaster and share stories from school days and beyond.”

The reunion will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013. For more details email girls@silhillians.net

n Solihull School will also be hosting an open morning on Saturday, September 29 from 10am to 2pm.
