A RAIL firm has offered a £5,000 reward after one of their clerks was tied up by robbers at Yardley Wood station.

London Midland is offering the cash for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Police were called to the station, in Highfield Road, on December 7 following reports of a robbery.

They discovered that a member of staff had been tied up by two men - who had then made off with cash.

The victim was left with a dislocated collar bone and was taken to Selly Oak Hospital following the ordeal.

Detectives hope that someone living nearby, or maybe travelling to work, may have seen something at around 6.30am.

Det Con Dan Hart said: “It’s vital that anyone who knows who is responsible for this attack to come forward and talk to British Transport Police (BTP) in complete confidence.”

Anyone who saw the robbery or has other information can call BTP on 0800 555 111.

Callers should quote log reference 38 on 07/12/09.
