POLICE delivered 57 mouth-watering Christmas hampers to recent victims of anti-social behaviour and burglary.

The hampers were donated by Shirley Round Table, a social, events and charity group set up in 1927.

Eddie Halliday, chair of Shirley Round Table, said: “We collected money round the streets of Shirley and Hall Green, and hope that the hampers and the good work the local police are doing will help raise spirits.”

Inspector Karen Winfield, from the Solihull policing sector, said: “We hope this small gesture will help bring some comfort following a difficult experience.”
