Round Tablers celebrate charity success in Solihull

Thirty two local charities and good causes shared in a £13,000 Solihull Round Table give away in the presence of Solihull Mayor, Ken Hawkins

Thirty two local charities and good causes shared in a £13,000 Solihull Round Table give away in the presence of Solihull Mayor, Ken Hawkins.

The money has been raised through events such as last year’s fireworks display and Christmas Appeal street collections.

Recipients included Heart of England NHS Trust, Olton Mere, ATC 492 Squadron, The Samaritans (Solihull), Marie Curie Big Build (Solihull), Ian Edwards Trust, This Way Up, Young Epilepsy and many more.

“The initiative was a fantastic success” said Greg Meadwell, chairman of Solihull Round Table.

“It surpassed all expectations and it was great to hear from many of the recipients how the money had been used to make such a big difference to so many lives across the borough.”
