TO mark the lighter evenings, CycleSolihull is launching a series of evening explorer rides.

These easy rides, about 10 miles long, will start from various points in the borough at 7pm and alternate between Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The first ride is next Wednesday, May 16, from Dorridge Railway Station.

Ride co-ordinator Stephen Holt said: “These rides are a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the lighter evenings whilst also exploring some of the quiet country lanes which surround our area. The rides are free and open to all ages - there is no need to book.”

Throughout the summer there will also be regular Sunday events, including a six mile family ride from Balsall Common Library this Sunday (May 13) at 2pm and a longer 23 mile trail from Coleshill to Kingsbury Water Park on May 20. Full details are available at www.cyclesolihull.org.uk.
