Saddle up for CycleSolihull

CYCLESOLIHULL, the volunteer cycling initiative now in its sixth year, has launched its spring and summer programme of community cycle rides with an even wider range of routes planned.

CYCLESOLIHULL, the volunteer cycling initiative now in its sixth year, has launched its spring and summer programme of community cycle rides with an even wider range of routes planned.

There are over 60 rides of varying lengths in the programme taking place every Sunday afternoon and some Saturday mornings.

Ride co-ordinator Stephen Holt said: “We hope there will be something for everyone in this year’s programme. The rides range from short 5-10 mile ‘family’ rides suitable for young children to more challenging 35 mile ‘stretcher’ rides”.

This Sunday, March 11, there is a five mile ‘taster’ ride from Dickens Heath library, aimed at anyone who would like to try a short ride, followed on Sunday, March 18 by a 21 mile ride from Knowle parish church.

Both start at 2pm. The rides are free and there is no need to book - you simply turn up with your bike at the start point. Details of all the rides are available at www.cyclesolihull.org.uk.
