A SOLIHULL woman has joined a team of other successful and inspirational ladies who have pledged to raise £20,000 each for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Sally Osman, a communications consultant and former Communications Director for the BBC is part of a 20-plus team of women including fashion designer Amanda Wakeley and M&S executive director Kate Bostock, known as the Breakthrough Booby Birds.
The fearless fundraisers will be taking part in a tandem sky dive in May.
Sally, who is now based in London, said: “I’m fast approaching the age my mother Betty was when she died from breast cancer. She was too young and didn’t get the chance of seeing me and my sisters Claire and Jenny grow up. Diagnosis and treatment have transformed since then but we still don’t have the answers and if it takes jumping out of a plane to get closer to a future free of the fear of breast cancer then it’s hard to say no!”
