TOUCHWOOD is preparing for a very special guest this weekend, as Santa Claus is coming to town.
Arriving on Saturday November 27, families will be able to visit Mr Claus in his new home under the Christmas tree in Touchwood’s Map Room, and to celebrate Santa’s arrival, Touchwood will be hosting a special moving in party.
From 2 -4pm on Saturday, guests will be able to meet and greet Santa as he makes his way from Library Square to the new grotto, during a parade filled with many of his friends, including elves and popular pantomime characters from the Solihull Arts Complex.
There will also be Christmas carols courtesy of the Hampton Singers and bell-ringers to create a truly jovial atmosphere for guests to enjoy.
Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, said: “We’re all extremely excited about Santa’s arrival and can’t wait to welcome him to his new home in the middle of Touchwood. We hope that having the grotto in the Map Room will give the centre an even more festive-feel and will be something everyone can enjoy.”
Guests to the party will also be able to enjoy some seasonal samples from a selection of Touchwood’s cafes and restaurants, plus all children (under 10 years) who visit the grotto, will walk away with an extra-special gift from the man himself.
