A VILLAGE school has announced it is taking part in the world record attempt for the most people signing and singing simultaneously.

At 2.45pm on February 6, Dorridge Infant School pupils will join young people from across the globe in the event, organised by the charity SignHealth, to perform the especially composed song ‘Sign2sing’.

Steve Powell, chief executive at the national healthcare charity for deaf people, said: “More than 800 schools have signed up so far and we’re delighted Dorridge Infant School is involved in the event too.”

This is SignHealth’s third Sign2sing event and the charity is aiming to smash their previous record of 114,277, by involving more than 175,000 youngsters.

Schools, colleges and nurseries wishing to take part are invited to visit www.sign2sing.org.uk where they can register and access online learning materials.
