Who’s got the best garden in Solihull?
The ever popular Solihull in Bloom’s annual garden competition is in full swing, and there is still plenty of time to enter your garden, hanging basket or display as the deadline is now July 8.
There are also categories for retail outlets, schools, community groups and hotels or restaurants. You can even nominate your local pub!
All finalists are invited to a presentation ceremony at Notcutts in September to recognise the hard work involved in creating a beautiful garden, with over £1,000 of vouchers to be won.
The competition is a fun way to promote gardening and greening up our local environment; planting a few plants makes a world of difference to a neighbourhood; inspiring people of all ages to take up gardening as well as caring for our local environment.
The event is run as part of Solihull Council’s regional entry into Heart of England in Bloom. Both the Solihull News and Notcutts Garden Centre sponsor the competition.
So if you think you have the Titchmarsh touch in the garden, you can find an entry form in copies of the Solihull News, at your local library, call 0121 704 8752 or apply online at www.solihull.gov.uk/solihullinbloom.
