Second teenager Adam Wragg dies following Chelmsley Wood Crash

A TEENAGER who was seriously injured in a car crash in Chelmsley Wood which killed his best friend has died in hospital.

A TEENAGER who was seriously injured in a car crash in Chelmsley Wood which killed his best friend has died in hospital.

Adam Wragg, aged 17, from Marston Green, was a passenger in a Ford Ka which veered off Coleshill Heath Road on the night of December 14 and hit a tree.

The car driver, Dale ‘Dutch’ Holland, also 17, died at the scene.

Adam, known affection-ately as Wraggie, died in Heartlands Hospital four days later after suffering multiple injuries.

His parents, Steve and Julie Wragg, issued a statement through the police saying they were in “total shock at his untimely death”.

“Adam was a beloved son and brother,” they said. “We are overwhelmed by the tributes to both Adam and Dale and the love that was shown towards them.

“Adam will always be remembered for his mischievous smile and his variety of hats, he would never be seen without one. Adam leaves an unfillable hole in our lives.

“Adam was an outstanding sportsman and he will be sorely missed by all that knew him. We would like to thank all those who have helped and offered support over recent days.”

The police are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to call the road policing unit on 0845 113 5000.

A 17-year-old arrested in connection with the collision has been bailed pending further inquiries. It is understood he was in another car.
