OVER 300 people pulled on their trainers to take part in this year’s Blythe Valley Fun Run.
Now in its seventh year, the event raised more than £3,000 for Solihull Breast Friends and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
Runners covered either five or 10km around the countryside and pathways of Blythe.
Shirley Lions has split the sponsorship money between two good causes and said it was pleased with the number of entrants.
Martin Conlon, Lions president, said: “We had another great turn-out and helped raise money for two great local causes.”
“A big well done and thank- you to everyone who took part and those who helped organise the event.”
This year’s main sponsors were Brother UK and Midlands Business Equipment.
