A TALENTED Shirley youngster in the running to become the next Teen Queen has been selected as an ambassador for Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Fourteen-year-old Georgie Swann is hoping to win the top modelling competition to raise the profile of her fundraising efforts.
Georgie, who attends Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA), has tragically lost three friends in the last 12 months to cancer and has been raising money for the charity.
Georgie was ‘spotted’ by organisers of the national competition at the NEC Clothes Show and hopes that by winning the contest, she will be able to use her Teen Queen title to raise more funds for her chosen charity.
Mum Dawn said: “Georgie is thrilled to be given this opportunity and we are asking her local community to vote for her.”
