Shoplifter admits taking £600 of handbags from John Lewis

A SHOPLIFTER has admitted stealing £600 worth of designer handbags from a Solihull retailer.

A SHOPLIFTER has admitted stealing £600 worth of designer handbags from a Solihull retailer.

Karen Cooper, of Fairfield Rise, Meriden, was caught on CCTV stealing the four bags from John Lewis in Solihull on January 20.

But the 47-year-old was only arrested when she returned to the store and was recognised the following month.

She was also charged with stealing a jacket, worth £39.99, from New Look in Chelmsley Wood on September 20. The case was committed to Birmingham Crown Court for March 27.
